Maggie Forbes turn down a financial inducement from a man suspected of doing an arson job in his own premises for the insurance money.

The rest of the episode is another kind of inducement. Money, charm and good looks.

Jessica Sanderson is an older woman stood up by her smooth younger man Harry who she has also given a lot of money to. She is arrested after having a strop in a restaurant.

Maggie is interested in Harry. He has left other women distraught as he moves from one older woman to another.

However when she meets Harry, she finds herself perplexedly charmed by him. Harry was not the kind of cad she expected. He even brings the money that he got from Jessica.

The relationship between Maggie and Harry was of interest. You would have thought the character might have returned in future episodes. He was well played by actor James Smillie who seems to have done more work in Australia.

The rest of the episode never matched up including a man who ended up being duped in some brothel.
