    Season One - A Review

Every episode is "a day in the life of The Gilmores" in the fairy tale town of Stars Hollow - where everybody knows your name, your business, and who your relatives are.

My husband introduced me to this series years ago and it's been on our "Binge Watch Favorites" ever since, & it never fails to inspire love, laughter, and just a touch of Lucifer's heated anger.

The seasonal settings, the always fitting soundtrack, and the moving storylines draw you in slowly and hold you hopeful for a happy ending, even when one is impossible.

With every episode your alliances will shift; compassion for mother, daughter, grand-mother - evolve into a relationship, the time you've invested into this wonderful show, its characters, and their growth through this often painful thing we call life.

    • Trivia
The "Winchester Mystery House" that Lorelai likens her home to is a mansion in San Jose, CA built by Sarah Winchester in the 1880s. It has over 160 rooms and is said to be haunted, and in fact originally built to house ghosts. Sarah supposedly thought she attracted the ghosts of dead family and could keep them happy by continually adding on to the home which contained haphazard and unplanned wings, stairways and hallways that ended abruptly, and doors that opened onto walls. The house is a tourist attraction today.
    • Goofs
As Lorelai and Luke are sitting in her kitchen talking about Rachel and how he's used to living alone. He says something about using milk and then coming back to the fridge and finding it in the exact same spot and Lorelai says, "Oh, we don't even keep milk in the house." Yet earlier, Rory (also in their kitchen) took out of the fridge a big glass bottle of milk, which Lorelai took a big chug out of.

      Dean: What?

      Rory: Stop...

      Dean: Why?

Rory: Because I love you, you idiot.
