    It's Rory's b'day!

It was Rory's birthday, you guys! It was her sweet sixteenth!

She had, like two bday parties, one with her grandparents and their snooty high friends and - unfortunately- the Chilton kids. With only one outburst on Rory's part, the party was almost okay.

The other party was awesome, though, which consisted of Rory's and Lorelai's friends and Rory really had fun in this one.

So, what else went down this episode, you ask? I will tell you what else went down: the post-it incident. God, was that hilarious. It was also kind of crazy Lorelai's mum and dad's part. I mean, who has their daughter and granddaughter put post it notes to mark stuff they want after one's demise? It was super ridiculous, but also super funny.

Rory and Dean progress further in their relationship (secretly of course). He even stops by at Luke's to mouth happy birthday to her. That reminds me, if we didn't know this already, we know it now for sure: Luke's a ginormous softie. We can tell from the effort he put in setting up a table specially for Rory at her birthday complete with balloons and a cake.

The creepy guy, Tristin, simply refuses to give Rory a break even on her birthday. Also, I am willing to bet Paris has a secret crush on Tristin coz she's seen asking Rory whether she's going out with Tristin. Speaking of which, Paris was decent to Rory for the entirety of this episode. Crazy, right?

Lorelai had a twinkle in her eye when her mum stated that Like had a thing for her. So, yeah. Luke and Lorelai are also gonna hook up.

Oh, there was significant growth observed in Rory's grandma.

And that's all I have to say for this episode. Thank you for reading!

It's supposedly Rory's 16th birthday in S1E6, but she's already driving solo in S1E4 when she gets hit by a deer. Connecticut requires you to be 16 to get a license.
    • Quotes

Lorelai: And I was screaming and swearing, and being surrounded as I was by a hundred prominent doctors, I just assumed there was an actual use for the cup of ice chips they gave me.

      Rory: There wasn't.

Lorelai: But pelting the nurses sure was fun.

      Rory: I love you, Mom.

Lorelai: Shh. I'm getting to the part where he sees your head. So there I was...
