    • Trivia
This is the only time Sal Petrillo is played by someone other than Sid Melton. He and Kyle T. Heffner (credited as Kyle Hefner) play old Sal and young Sal, respectively, in this episode.
    • Goofs
The set used for the Sophia and Dorothy's Brooklyn apartment had been used a few times in the series before this episode aired. However, in all past episodes, the Petrillo's were said to have lived in a house. This is evident since the set used is for a two story house. However, in this episode it is clearly stated and shown that the Petrillo's lived in an apartment. Yet the same two story interior set is used. The set is way too big and very unrealistic especially since the establishing shot of the Petrillo's building shows it to be a tenement style building. No tenement apartments in Brooklyn came anywhere near the size of this set nor would any of them be two stories.

Dorothy Zbornak: You know, I never thought Ma would lose her memory. Of course, I never thought Alan Alda would get on my nerves.
