Marian Mercer, who plays cousin Magda, is a frequent alum of Witt/Thomas/Harris shows. She played David Leisure's character, Charlie Dietz, mother Ursula on The Golden Girls spin-off Empty Nest. Mercer's most famous role, however, was the starring role she had on the Witt/Thomas/Harris show It's A Living, playing Nancy Beebe from 1980 to 1989. She is also Mrs Hart from the movie 9 to 5 in 1980

Goofs
Sophia says that Gloria was the one who had to get the rabies shot because Dorothy bit her. There have never been any reported cases of rabies being passed from human to human.
