      Marian Mercer, who plays cousin Magda, is a frequent alum of Witt/Thomas/Harris shows. She played David Leisure's character, Charlie Dietz, mother Ursula on The Golden Girls spin-off Empty Nest. Mercer's most famous role, however, was the starring role she had on the Witt/Thomas/Harris show It's A Living, playing Nancy Beebe from 1980 to 1989. She is also Mrs Hart from the movie 9 to 5 in 1980
