Episode 1.3

I only just realised how many writers were involved in Green Wing. They seem to be the size of a soccer team. It probably explains why it can be such a mish mash.

Caroline advertises for a lodger for her house and the people interested seem to be a bizarre bunch, even more bizarre than her present work colleagues. Angela is interested but Caroline prefers it is not her but she may have little choice in the end.

Joanna wants to be turned on by Dr Statham by him being spontaneous. A spot of shoplifting gets him into bother and he turns to playing the recorder which somehow manages to charm his snake.

Mac gets upset that his ex girlfriend is suddenly pregnant with her new boyfriend. She never wanted children with him. Mac stabs Dr Secretan on the shoulder when he tried to wind him up. Caroline then sends Dr Secretan into depression by stirring up memories of his boarding school days.

The episode is stolen by strange antics of Sue White. A masterful performance by Michelle Gomez. She wants to bring a pet to work and sneaks a camel into the office, plays a Nazi and even does magic tricks. She really is bored at her job.
