The scene where Burke is teaching Izzie how to cook a turkey is based on the first episode of Grey's Anatomy, where George performs his first surgery.

Goofs
When George's father "bloods" George, the blood on his left cheek covers the scar under his eye. In the next shot, the camera is behind George's head. When the camera shows his face again, the blood streak has suddenly shifted to the left and is no longer over the scar. In the next shot of his face, the blood has once again shifted, now to the right, but is still not over the scar.
