An enjoyable episode, with the arrival of a significant character.

Sir Marco, Knight of the round table has died, his death leaves a vacancy, and as there is no natural successor, one must be found, a series of trials are organised to find a new member. The banished Queen Morgana puts her son, Arthur's Nephew Rupert forward.

A rather enjoyable episode, a good adventure, with some nice characters, food to see Merlin playing a more active role.

I'll admit I've been waiting for the arrival of Morgana, not perhaps the character I was expecting, but power crazed and devious enough on the whole. An interesting dynamic between Arthur and Morgana, he just about managed to tolerate her.

Merlin and Lancelot were both a little biased towards Balin, before even knowing anything about him.

I wish we'd learned a little more about Rupert, we didn't get to learn if he was decent, or his mother's son, I was really surprised to learn that it's a young Robert Hardy.

Some decent looking fight scenes, not sure about the sword fights, but the wresting didn't look half bad.

Alison Leggatt was pretty good as Morgana, a shame she didn't appear more frequently.

Cheat, and you'll always get what's coming.

    7/10.

    Knights Choice

A young Robert Hardy plays Sir Rupert. The nephew of King Arthur and the son of the treacherous Morgana Le Fay.

She was banished by Arthur for plotting to kill him.

Now Morgana sees a way back to the Camelot. With the death of a knight of the Round Table, there is a vacancy.

A tournament is held for the successor and Sir Rupert is ready made. Standing in his way is young Balin. A man whom little is known about but he is supported by Lancelot and Merlin.

There is a duel between Sir Rupert and Balin but Morgana engages in dirty tricks. The equivalent of shining a laser pointer in the eye.

It would had been easier for Merlin to remove the mirror that was being shown on Balin's eyes. Instead he goes all scientific having calculated an eclipse of the sun. Each to his own way I guess.
