    Sir Crustabread

Sir Crustabread has been newly knighted by King Arthur.

He has been sent on a mission to accompany Lynette of Accolon to rescue her sister Lady Eleanor from being married to Baron Braynor.

Lady Lynette is not happy with Crustabread who she thinks is a baker as he is dressed like one.

In fact Crustabread is Lancelot on disguise. He knows Baron Braynor plans to use Lady Eleanor as a stepping stone. Lancelot also knows that Sir Accolon is still alive.

He does not want people to know that he is Lancelot. As these people had earlier held him captive. Lancelot has a score to settle.

The episode is mainly Lady Lynette belittling Crustbread although by the end she has the hots for Lancelot. There are some nice hints of romance between the two.

    Romance for Sir Lancelot?

The beautiful Lady Lynette of Accolon arrives at King Arthur's court demanding assistance, explaining that her sister, Lady Eleanor has been coerced into marrying Baron Braynor. Arthur assigns a champion, only he's not what she had in mind.

There is more than a certain amount of tongue in cheek humour here, it's actually a very funny episode, but one with something of a romantic twist run into through it.

There has always been humour on the show, but this is the first time a whole episode has felt like a comedy, Sir Crustsbread, the Baking Knight, Lady Lynette demanding the utmost commitment from her Knight, and scalding him the whole time, it's a very entertaining episode.

I'm still not sure I can get used to seeing this series in colour, it looks so vibrant. I am definitely still seeing an upwards spiral in terms of quality.

Virginia Vernon was an absolute delight as Lady Lynette, funny, but sincere, I detected a bit of chemistry between her and William Russell.

    Very enjoyable, 8/10.
