Awful episode...

I had to comment it, because it is so bad... Characterizations have a lot to do with that. Fred and her deer in the headlights attitude, Gunn and his stupid decisions, Angel and his stupid grudge against Wesley. Cordelia who think she's all that. And Groo being just too useless for words. I can't wait for him to leave. Special effects were pretty good, but the more I go through this series again, the less it makes me want to continue watching. Hopefully it will improve soon.

Gunn didn't even know about other kinds of demons until he met Angel. He only knew about Vampires.

Trivia
In Guise Will Be Guise (2000), Gunn, having rarely ventured out of the neighborhood he had sworn to protect from vampires, expressed surprise upon learning of Los Angeles' hidden demon community and its haunts, such as Caritas. However, this episode depicts him, in flashback, visiting precisely such an establishment, Jenoff's casino, long before meeting Angel and company.

Goofs
Angel and a the demon casino boss, Jenoff, both cut a card from the deck. Jenoff cuts first, his card a 9 in close-up shots. In the long shots of the table, though, his card becomes a 5.
