Beyond Stupid!

Typical episode of the Baa Baa Blacksheep Squadron against the world and they are always right and everyone else is always wrong. Robert Conrad gives one of his worse performances especially when he is imitating a general with a southern accent. Is it just me or is everybody in this show a total jerk. There is absolutely nothing likeable about any of the characters. People for some reason enjoy watching totally idiots behaving as badly as possible. Turn it into real life and who could deal with these screwballs. In reality despite the urban legends, there is no way in heck that people could every get away with this off the wall behavior in the military, let alone the military. Anyhow, I don't know why I am even writing this, nothing else to do.

Trivia
In the take off scene of B-17 without the black sheep Pappy is on board Fort Apache one of the B-17's is famous from the European theater, she never flew in the pacific campaign, it is the Memphis Belle.

Goofs
The B-17E model was already outdated by the time VMF-214 was formed as a squadron. The B-17F model was well underway flying combat missions, and therefore, VMF-214 wouldn't be flying escort for the "new" B-17E model.
