    Saving Harvey Cohen

This is a fantastic episode of 'Becker' from its first series, and certainly up there with the best episodes from its first year.

The storyline is great, and its wonderfully written and performed by the cast.

We get to see all the sides of Becker here, his grumpy persona, and also the gentle side of his nature, through the very sweet scene at the end.

To this day I don't think 'Becker' as a sitcom gets the recognition it deserves, but the consistency shown episode on episode is quite staggering, as is the way it manages to balance light and dark themes so well, without either becoming too much.

    Great.

At 01:55 Bob (Saverio Guerra) walks from left to right in the hall at the back of the office set while Becker and Margaret are talking in the foreground. The scene did not feature the character Bob and the camera appears to have caught him making his way to the diner set for a scene featuring him (at 05:50).
    • Quotes

Dr. John Becker: Melvesky better have a damn good reason for not being here.

      Margaret: He died last year.

Dr. John Becker: Alright then, that's a damn good reason.
