The Last Vote

Tom Bosley and Wally Cox are candidates for mayor, and a bet between Hoss and Joe makes for heated campaign. I was reluctant to watch this one due to a poor review. Actually, it's not so bad. Sure it's silly. More and more I find myself enjoying the comedic episodes. Hop Sing does well with comedy. Ben tries to be the voice of reason. He has a funny line about wanting daughters, when he orders the brothers to take day off to stop their bickering. The ending isn't that far off what can happen in an election. A plus is the performance of Bing Russell as Clem. He didn't have the stardom his son had. Still he was always a welcome presence in the series.

One of the silliest "humorous" Bonanza shows that I actually finished watching to its end, and that end could not come soon enough. The final disappointment was the very last scene. Some things just aren't worth the time, but how does one know ahead of time? I supposed someone will say the same thing about this review. Oh well, they can score it 3 as well.
