    ALL FOR LOVE AND MOUSTACHES?

Must see Peter and Greg lesson in dating. Greg has the distinct honor of going out with one of the classiest young ladies on campus, but who also has a visiting cousin... who will be all alone. What to do?

    Bring her along!

Enter clumsy, awkweird Phil Packer, played by Peter, who is supposed to be a real swinger and a friend of Gregs. This completes the double date, and talk about a disaster.

Again, shades of LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE --teen style-- where everything goes wrong. For one thing, Pete ain't a good actor; he has trouble with his voice (which is hilarious) and his moustache keeps falling off. Embarrassing to the max.

In the meanwhile, as Brady luck would have it, Mike and Carol are entertaining a Spanish client and his wife, who are very conservative folks, treating them to a business dinner. Yes, they wind up at the same restaurant Greg, Peter and their gal friends happen to be.

One not to miss, and its a gem. Character actor Paul Fierro plays Mike's client, who often played villains. Linda Gibboney (Linda), later became a soap opera regular on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW and SANTA BARBARA.

According to notes, Chris Knight said he was a bit scared playing the scene because he hadn't been on a real date, but he comes off the best. Chris was a natural, and the guy all us guys back in the day were fans of.

10 Stars. From SEASON 5 remastered color ABC/Paramount dvd box set. 4 dvds. 2006 release. Check out the cool cover, a collectors item.

    The Phil Packer Story

Greg has a date with a popular girl, but her cousin is visiting and he has to find a date for her also.

A funny Season 5 episode. Greg can't find anyone so he asks Peter to pretend to be Phil Packer, a swinging guy from out of town. He even wears a false mustache to appear older. There is a funny scene as the foursome goes to a drive in movie and Peter's mustache nearly falls off. They also nearly ruin a business dinner Mike has with a Mexican client.

    • Trivia
According to the podcast, The Real Brady Bros (2022), Christopher Knight was frightened to work with the actress who played his character's date, Linda Gibboney. Their age difference (she was seven years older) made Knight uncomfortable, made worse by the fact that Knight was 16 years old, and had not really dated at the time the episode was filmed.
    • Goofs
When Mike and Carol are sitting with Mike's Spanish business associates, and deciding what pizza parlor to take them to, the girls come in and refer them to Marionie's as having "The greatest pizza." They agree to go there. In the next establishing shot, by the front awning, it is seen that they went to Nino's not Marionie's.
