The hypocrisy and tottering morality of Buffy's crew making this season hard to watch

They already established in a previous episode that when someone is turned into a vampire their soul is gone and a demon takes it's place. The vampire demon has all the memories of that person, but is not that person. This means everything that Angel does when his soul is absent is not his fault, and his soul is innocent of the crimes committed by the vampire demon. Similar to Seth Green when he is in werewolf form. If anything, Seth Green is more likely to get out and kill people than Angel is to lose his soul again now that they know what caused it, and how to fix it if it happens again.

Xander is not only a hypocrite, but he's also a deceitful, jealousy driven jerk! He hid the fact that Angel was getting his soul restored before Buffy killed him because he wants Angel to die despite knowing that Angel's soul is innocent of the crimes soulless Angel committed. Xander and Willow are both fooling around in secret behind the backs of Cordelia and Seth Green. Frankly, I think they should have got rid of Xander when Seth Green started making regular appearances. Xander was tolerable as a tagalong geek in season 1, but he's quickly becoming a pain and dragging the series down.

Everybody is upset with Buffy again which is totally ridiculous and quite frustrating. Juist for once I wish she would drag them down from their high horses and make them realize their blatant hypocrisy.

When Faith finds Lagos in the cemetery, the "stone" crypt in which the demon is rummaging wobbles, revealing it to be made of either foam or light wood.
    • Quotes

Rupert Giles: [to Buffy] Be quiet... I won't remind you that the fate of the world often lies with the Slayer. What would be the point? Nor shall I remind you that you've jeopardized the lives of all that you hold dear by harboring a known murderer... But sadly, I must remind you that Angel tortured me... for hours... for pleasure. You should have told me he was alive. You didn't. You have no respect for me or the job I perform.
