All Hell Breaks Loose

Shannen Doherty bowed out of the show and it became a shadow of its old self. But in this episode, which she directed, Doherty showed her all-around skills. The most drama, action, acting, etc in the series, and one of the best series finales ever. Do not read any spoilers. The ending is worthy of any shows. Go watch the first three seasons now, and be prepared to be seriously disappointed if you keep watching after that.

You can stop reading here if you want. I need to keep imdb happy. I'm not the typical demographic for this show but I loved it. I caught it around the time of a few great or fun shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lois & Clark, etc, on reruns. Each episode is original and while some characters I didn't care much for, overall the show kept progressing, and again, built up to one of the most powerful season finales ever. What came next, I consider a different show.

Well the explanations are great guys, Thanks, I thought I missed an episode or something between this episode Charmed Again, My comment is why didn't they write in part two of all hell breaks loose, better?

I know there were behind the scene problems with Shannen, so if her exit was abrupt. I can only surmise that we have to assume, Prue hit that wall HARDER then Piper. I didn't think of Phoebe not being there, if time was reversed,Why was Phoebe returned as well.

I was just curious as to why so many details were omitted,

Over time,Shannen and producers could have made peace for the final episode. If Grams and Patty can be called. Prue should have been too.

I'm sure Shannon knew weeks before she wrote the storyline for episode 22 that she would be fired because of Milano .

Part 2 of All Hell Breaks Loose is absolutely real. I saw it live when it originally aired. You will not find part 2 in any dvd or vhs or whatever, because it was never released for these formats due to the conflicts and legal parameters. It only aired live, on tv, once and that was it. Fans just created fake part 2's online to try and recreate the actual episode for comfort.

It's too bad that the rights to part 2 were not released because when I watched it live, it was intense, emotional and well done. It is not unusual to not have a real recording of part 2 because it wasn't totally common to do this. We just watched tv live and that was that and plus we didn't have dvr, on demand, nor streaming. I was 33 back then (2001) and even though one could technically record tv shows onto a vhs tape, I wouldn't say it was common. Anyways, I don't care if some people believe that part 2 doesn't exist because I know it actually does because I saw it live that one time it aired and I know others who have as well. That's the truth. Period. When something is true, it just stands. It's like saying you don't believe in the sun or the moon. It doesn't matter if you don't believe in the sun or moon, the fact is, it's true that they do exist no matter what some people may think.

Anyhow, it's really not that important in the grand scheme of things. I just figured I would write this because I actually saw it myself. I'm glad I have it in my memory banks. Maybe someday, the people holding this part 2 back from the public, will release it so everyone else can enjoy it as well.

Prue and Piper bring Dr. Griffiths to their home to save him from the Sauce's assassin Shax. While Phoebe looks in the Book of Shadow how to vanquish the demon, Prue and Piper fight and chase Shax on the streets to destroy him. However, they are filmed and exposed live in the television news as witches. They become national sensation with a crowd in front of their house. Phoebe trusts on Cole and goes to the underworld with Leo to ask him to summon Tempus and revert time while a fanatic woman shots Piper, who dies. The source proposes Phoebe to stay with him and in return he would save her sister. Phoebe accepts the deal, and the time is reverted to the moment Shax is attacking Prue, Piper and Dr. Griffits.

"All Hell Breaks Loose" is a good but incoherent episode. With Piper dead and The Power of Three destroyed, why should The Source revert time to save her? But this dramatic show is certainly one of the best of the Third Season and let the viewers anxiously waiting for the next episode. My vote is nine.
