    Funny Individuals

Simple little plot elements. First of all when Carla's son says he is going to become a priest, she thinks she goes automatically to heaven and can do whatever she wants. Sam eats some of John's crab salad and breaks a tooth. He plans to sue him. Cliff Claven thinks he is hilarious and decides to go on stage in a comedy club on amateur night. Each of these has its own attraction.

    • Trivia
Phil, the old man flirting with Lilith in the beginning of the episode, is Philip Perlman, Rhea Perlman's and Heidi Perlman's father. He appears many times in this series. Heidi Perlman was also a producer on Cheers, in addition to being Rhea's younger sister.
    • Goofs
Hill tells Sam that having a rock in his pretzel dish is "deliberate negligence," which is a contradiction in terms. Negligence is the failure to take reasonable care to prevent foreseeable harm; by definition, it is not "deliberate" in nature.
