A doctor is brought back to life using technology he and a colleague developed. He has one day to live and must decide between revenge on those who killed him or reunite with his neglected family.

Dr. James Houghton and Dr. Charles McCamber have developed a technique to reanimate cryogenically preserved bodies. They know from their experiments with animals that the revival will last a couple of days at best. Their first success with a human, Oscar Reynolds, struggles and indicates he would have preferred to have been left dead. Houghton is fanatical however and takes extraordinary measures to keep Reynolds alive. After Houghton is shot dead by a mugger in the parking lot, McCamber re-animates him. Knowing he only has a short time available to him, Houghton decides to spend time with his family. When he sees his killer on the street he kills him but not before McCamber has some shocking news for him.—garykmcd

Two researchers study a technology that will regenerate dead tissue and bring a person back to life. Their first human test survives for 24 hours. When the lead researcher is shot to death, he is brought back to life and his values are put to the test.
