    Eagle in Paris

This time our merry friends - Brett Sinclair and Danny Wilde - are not on the French Riviera, I mean Nice and its surroundings - but Paris. They have to deal with former nazis officials who search some kind of a Nazi relic. Of course there are several gorgeous girls, much fun, amusing stunts but that's all. More light hearted than ever and also directed by Leslie Norman, a solid British film director, who gave us X THE UNKNOWN, DUNKIRK, THE LONG THE SHORT AND THE TALL. Not the most terrififc of the show, only routine for our two playboys, much fun for the fans. I don't think they will have again to be in Paris again, so take advantage.

    a lighter shade of blue

I can recall this series first being shown on TV, and it was like "wow" its pretty good. Time hasnt done it any favours. Whilst the premise of the series is good ie "rich playboys solve crime", it all comes across as a "Jason King" where a lot of flash and fashion is supposed to make a good TV show. My problem with this episode is everything is as a a lighter shade of blue ie they eyes of the ladies are blue, the wallpaper is blue, the gunman is dressed is blue, so it goes. It might have been great for the early 70's Colour TV's we had in England, but it came across as a silly gimmick. Recommended for a few episodes, but I dont think I could watch more than one episode at a sitting..
