    A Picture of Innocence

Mr Hedges is several days into his new job as a teacher. However the reputation of Form 5C is such, they cannot partake in extracurricular activities.

They are either too rowdy, steal stuff or destroy it.

Hedges persuades the art teacher Mr Dowling to look at their art work. Mainly because Dowling knows he is in trouble for spending time with his own commercial art rather than actually teaching kids.

Mr Hedges persuades the class to bring in some drawings which are of variable quality.

Mr Dowling is impressed by a drawing of a naked girl but there is no name to it and Mr Hedges tries to find out by talking to the boys in 5C.

I did like Duffy going for something simple such as a traffic light and Dennis going for something even more simpler.

As to who drew the naked girl, I thought that would be obvious. Not sure why Hedges asked some of the boys knowing that he had already seen the drawings they bought in. I was also unsure why Dowling thought the artist was so talented that they would be able to get into college.

I guess this episode explains why older actresses were cast as schoolkids, in case naked portraits of them were drawn.
