The Man Who Could Not Die

Roger Moore directs this episode. It opens with the Saint making a slight political quip. How hospitals treat people involved in polo accidents like a prince.

A friend of Templar, Nigel Perry wants his help. His father died prospecting in Australia. He is now a partner with Miles Hallin who did manage to survive the Australian ordeal where Nigel's father perished.

Nigel believes tha Miles did all he could to save his father. Now he wants to repay the favour as he thinks someone is blackmailing Miles.

Miles is an adventurer, who lives his life recklessly. Hence he is dubbed by the press as the man who could not die.

However it is Nigel's life that is in danger instead when he goes to an underground cave in Wales. It seems Miles is getting blackmailed for what he might have done in Australia to Nigel's father.

The story is weak. Young Nigel is naive and Templar is reckless getting left alone with Miles. It is a story with not that much plot.

    • Quotes

Simon Templar: Astrology, the science of the stars, believes in the divine influence of the heavenly bodies over the affairs of man. By consulting a map of the heavens at the time of your birth, an astrologer will analyze your tendencies towards health or disease, good luck or calamity. Despite the fact that it was once outlawed by the Romans and that it is pretty generally scoffed at in academic circles, astrology today has more followers than ever before.
