    Bond Girl Eunice Gayson.

It is nice to see one of my favorite Bond Girls, Eunice Gayson in this well structured episode of the Saint.

    The Saint Bids Diamonds

Turk Abdul Graner (George Murcell) has stolen a priceless diamond from the Louvre. Getting it cut in his villa in the Canary Islands is more difficult.

Joris Van Linden the diamond cutter he has got is an elderly drunk who has the shakes. So he calls an ace diamond over from the USA.

Only George Felson (Ed Bishop) never makes it to Graner's villa. The Saint abducted him at the airport. Templar enters Graner's villa posing as a diamond cutter with knowledge gleaned from Felson.

He gets unexpected help from Christine (Eunice Gayson) the estranged wife of Abdul. She wants to leave him and arranged Van Linden's escape. He might be a drunk but Van Linden still has a trick or two up his sleeve.

Murcell makes for a good bad guy but his goons are a bit useless. Grayson has the knack of finding James Bond's. There are some good twists and it looks like a story adapted from a Charteris novel.

    • Quotes

Simon Templar: Astrology, the science of the stars, believes in the divine influence of the heavenly bodies over the affairs of man. By consulting a map of the heavens at the time of your birth, an astrologer will analyze your tendencies towards health or disease, good luck or calamity. Despite the fact that it was once outlawed by the Romans and that it is pretty generally scoffed at in academic circles, astrology today has more followers than ever before.
