    One of Templar's best adventures

THE SCORPION is a pretty good episode of the show, certainly a lively one with plenty going on throughout. It starts off on strong form with Dudley Sutton at his most menacing, before following with a story that involves a witness to a crime taking refuge at Templar's place while he tries to catch the criminal organisation responsible. The titular motif is reminiscent of the creative murder methods seen in the krimi films of the era, a touch I particularly liked. The supporting cast includes Hammer veteran Phillip Latham and Ronald Leigh-Hunt, alongside strong female cast members and exciting action.

    Taut, well written

A thoroughly excellent little drama. Fisticuffs were never better.....the bad guys from all walks of life.....a script and director that kept the episode humming right along.

And don't ever forget the dignified beauty that is Katherine Woodville!
