It turns out this was the last episode of the original order. Reportedly, had the show not been picked up for a full season, the producers would have simply finished the story by dubbing over the Narrator's voice with the words, "And that kids, is the story of how I met your mother," when Victoria (Ashely Williams) is seen smiling at Ted at the end of the episode. Her name is not mentioned in the episode, only in the end credits.
Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) is again my favourite performer in the show. He brings the laugh out loud moments. Ted (Josh Radnor) has at least stopped denying he wants Robin (Cobie Smulders) and it's sweet seeing Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshal (Jason Segel) planning their wedding. I'm glad it get picked up for the full season.

- TriviaIn this episode, Claudia says she is 28 years old, which makes her one year older than Ted, who was 27 years old. In real life, Virginia Williams was 27 years old, four years younger than Josh Radnor, who was 31 years old.
- GoofsWhen the close-up of the wedding invitation is shown, the date for the wedding is Saturday, February 10, 2005. The show aired January 9, 2006, and the previous episode had just celebrated New Year's Eve 2006 as well. The invitation should have shown 2006, not 2005.
- Quotes
Stuart: The point is, I want to get married, I want to settle down, but right now, that's just not who I am. I'm not a commitment guy; I'm a single guy.
Ted: Stuart, you don't have to be one or the other. Everybody feels this way sometimes. Relationships aren't easy; they're hard work. It's about compromise, growing together, all that Dr. Phil crap.
Stuart: How would you know? You're not even married.
Ted: Okay, ask this guy.
[Points to Marshall]
Ted: Nine years he's been with Lily. He's the pro - *this guy* knows relationships. Tell him, Marshall.
Marshall: Stuart... don't get married.
Stuart: What?
Ted: Dude!
Marshall: Look, I'm sorry. Being in a couple is hard. And committing, making sacrifices, it's hard. But if it's the right person, then it's easy. Looking at that girl and knowing she's all you really want out of life, that should be the easiest thing in the world, and if it's not like that, then she's not the one. I'm sorry.
