    Great!

I personally thought it was a great episode, possibly the best in the season so far. This particular episode really focused on the one of the biggest issue in high school, "Bullying". It illustrated what can happen if it was to continue. This I think is great as it contains moral teaching to some of the younger audience of One Tree Hill.

The ending was a great cliffhanger

    What brought it Down:

*Dan's evilness is going way over the top.* **Peyton!!!!! still having "feelin" 4 Lucas.**

Overall definitely worth watching! Cant wait for the next episode....

    moving and must see episode

This would have to be the best episode of this series. It dealt with real issues without being preachy but still made the right impact with its audience. This episode made me think of not only all the senseless high school shootings around the world, but also the horrible things that went on in my own high school 10 years ago. Whilst I do agree with the previous comment that some of the characters were bland in this episode, I think it was a wise choice to keep most of the main cast lower key, as the point of this episode was Jimmy's struggle. What a fantastic portrayal of a kid in crisis. Well done guys on a powerful and memorable episode. Keep it up. This series just keeps getting better and better!

Masterpiece. Worth watching even if not into the type of show.

One of the greatest episodes I have ever seen in television history. It was done perfectly from beginning to end. It does not waste one second. It wrecks me emotionally and opens the floodgates more every time I watch it. The story, the heart, the emotion, tragedy, heartbreak, pain, reality of the broken world, the acting, the music. It is a masterpiece in television. I am a long time One Tree Hill fan, but even for those who aren't into this kind of show should learn enough about the main characters to at least watch this episode. Aside from One Tree Hill, I am into shows that are far different in nature (my favorites being Stranger Things, 24, The Walking Dead, The Office). I have watched the series One Tree Hill a few times now and it has climbed to my 5 tv shows all time and it is because (even in the midst of the chaos and wacky stuff in the show) the heart of the stories and the realness of the struggle, pain, sadness, and the fight for change. And the characters that you start to feel you know personally and experience their pain with them, and the amazing character development of some of them. Though the show has some weaknesses and gets silly at times, it's strengths I just mentioned that make me love it are unmatched in my eyes and I have never seen another show do them as well.

    Poignant and heartfelt

In my opinion this is in the top 5 episodes of OTH. This episode is so well written and is sensitive to the topic at hand. It seems very realistic which is informative but very heartbreaking, a must watch

    Incredibly Sad, but Incredibly True

This episode was by far one of the best TV episodes of any show I've ever watched, let alone on the WB.

Hearing Jimmy talk about high school society brought tears to my eyes, not only because his words were so touching and heartfelt, but because what he was saying was true.

This is a great episode for teens to watch, especially before entering high school. It teaches them to be more open and not to exclude anyone, because this episode provides insight to the effects of that neglect.

One thing I liked about this episode was that it was all serious. No frivolous teen problems, no "will these pants make my butt look good?" issues, and no comedy. The entire episode dealt with serious issues, and, especially coming from a not-so-serious show, the magnitude of the subject matter was handled beautifully.

A major theme of this episode was to make sure that what was going on in high school society would stop. A character acts upon this need for change. I feel that this episode screams for change, and I feel that the episode instilled the necessary impact needed to start that change.

    • Trivia
On an episode of the Drama Queens podcast it was revealed one of the extras filming this episode was actually a student in columbine high school during the massacre. According to Hilarie Burton, the woman didn't know what they were filming before, but was very cooperative with the team because she thought it was an important episode.
    • Goofs
In the library, when Peyton is telling Lucas that Jimmy Edwards is the shooter, his blue shirt goes from being on, to off in the next shot, and then back to on.
    • Quotes

Lucas Scott: Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty, this hatred, how did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us that we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return, but knowing that some would be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows. Swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name? Is it your name?
