This episode moved me more then any of the other ones out of one simple reason. It felt real (thanks to writers and actors for delivering it with just the right amount of respect and input it needs), at least to me it did. It will never be as real for me as for someone who actually had to see it but I believe it gave me a way of understanding the topic, the people involved, just a bit better.
To everyone who had to live through something like this - I am so glad you survived and believe me, we won't forget, not ever.

- TriviaOn an episode of the Drama Queens podcast it was revealed one of the extras filming this episode was actually a student in columbine high school during the massacre. According to Hilarie Burton, the woman didn't know what they were filming before, but was very cooperative with the team because she thought it was an important episode.
- GoofsIn the library, when Peyton is telling Lucas that Jimmy Edwards is the shooter, his blue shirt goes from being on, to off in the next shot, and then back to on.
- Quotes
Lucas Scott: Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty, this hatred, how did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us that we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return, but knowing that some would be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows. Swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name? Is it your name?
