Absurdity, lasers, rock music, and a flying Impala, do make for an entertaining film.

If movies like Schizopolis, This Is Spinal Tap, and Dolemite make you smile and if your a fan of classic rock, cheesy Moog synths, and anything to do with ninjas then this movie is for you. Sun Ra was half right when he said "Space Is The Place". "Absurdity Is Your First Priority" when you watch this movie. Every frame was crafted with loving care to be a B movie exploitation regurgitation cult classic.

Dr. Spider Jones is onto something big with his Icebox Fusion. It will take more than just Buck Fiesta with his enormously large communicator and his Stress Reduction pills to win the day. Perhaps The Red Arrow and Agent Unknown might be enough to tip the balance and save Outpost 11 from Dr. Spider Jones and his army of half baked Temporal Ninjas.

Sci-fi fans with a sense of humor should come home to roost with this one. Just remember, it's all for love.

    Action Is Go!

Look out Disney's The Rocketeer ...

Here comes the next bid for the best movie of all time, (except for possibly Harvey Porter and the Sorcerer's Sword, Duh).

I will rate the following categories of this classic:

Story: Somewhere between the passion of Space Camp with the depth of Mac N' Me.

Special Effects: Yes it's got some. A perfect score 100+

    Consistency: Chowder like

Acting: A genuine effort from these professional actor-men.

Total Score: 5 Alarm Stars of Christmas Chili!

Are we going to see the action figures for this little piece of heaven? Buck Fiesta is 2006's next top sexy all star (move over JarJar!)

Love and Kisses - Zarloc of the blue tones from the year 2351.

    Action is definitely go!

I have seen this movie and I'm here to report that it is exactly what you should expect from a homegrown sci-fi extravaganza. And if you want to revisit the classic feel of early 80's sci-fi/fantasy kitsch this is your ticket. If you are reading this review then you have caught the tail end of a cult phenomenon that is spreading like pink eye across America. Check out the star making performance of Alex Warren as "Buck Fiesta" as he bravely tackles temporal ninjas and the nefarious Dr. Spider Jones. Buck Fiesta and Red Arrow move through the film like a Jay and Silent Bob of the Lazer Age. Filmed on location in one of my hometowns Springfield, MO. This movie has a good sense of humor and a good feel for what a low budget sci-fi movie should be.

Strong Candidate for Worst Movie Ever

James Rolfe recently said for him Wavelength is the worst movie he's watched. James, did you watch Rock 'n' Roll Space Patrol Action Is Go!???

At least Wavelength uses about 15 minutes less of your lifetime if you actually watch it than Rock 'n' Roll Space Patrol Action Is Go!

Wavelength also has some consistency to it, following through with an idea of some kind. At or about 10 minutes into Wavelength there's a gradually rising in pitch and volume synthesized tone while the camera zooms in.

Unlike Rock 'n' Roll Space Patrol Action Is Go!, that early on shatters your wildest expectations that there might be something intriguing coming later in the movie, Wavelength makes you think there might actually be something to it like a slow burn.

Rock 'n' Roll Space Patrol Action Is Go! Would be better if it had a story, plot and acting reaching the heights of Wavelength.

It might be improved by upsampling to 4k or even 8k and archived in the Library of Congress for future generations. Maybe aliens from other planets will watch it, wondering if the Earth is worth plundering or if they should just pass our world by.

Rock 'n' Roll Space Patrol Action Is Go! COULD SAVE THE WORLD!

(yeah. Its possibly the worst movie ever. I'm not sure rose tinted glasses would even help. You're wrong James Rolfe! And yet, for being so bad, it gets another star for discussion value.)
