Like i said before people love to hate on the Simpsons After the 9th season, fact is, this episode is great and Funny, if Homer refuse to give his kidney its because of fear and its normal, also because his dad was the worst dad ever with him. Its funny, stop overthink when you watch a sitcom episode !
This marks the beginning of the end of the Golden Age. It didn't have to be this way but I guess this is what we are dealing with, the beginning of Jerkass Homer, which would plague the show for about 20 years.
Very nice and funny episode that contains a deep moral of sacrifice that is thrown away in the middle of the episode and the mrale becomes a daring adventure of cowardice and theft.
The worst episode in season 10 by far. This episode makes homer super unlike able.
Oh my god, this is when Jerkass Homer appears for the first time by not letting his grandpa, Abraham Simpson go to the bathroom so he can do his business, even Dr. Hibbert shows us a picture of an x-ray of the two kidneys of Abraham Simpson exploding, this episode makes me feel awkward and disgusting, even Jerkass Homer also appears in the episode Co-Dependents Day which was also a horrible episode, it also got hated by lots of people and fans from the show. If Homer Simpson letted his grandpa go to the bathroom then non of these things would have happened, it was the most disgusting, awkward and hard episode to sit through, man i feel bad for Grandpa Simpson who had to suffer this uneasy episode.

- TriviaAlthough the episode was written by John Swartzwelder, the idea for the episode was pitched by former staff writer George Meyer. Nevertheless, the episode still contains several "classic Swartzwelder moments" according to executive producer Ian Maxtone-Graham, including Homer escaping on a handcart and the line "this is everybody's fault but mine".
- GoofsThere are numerous errors in regard to the premise of Grampa's kidneys exploding due to holding in urine too long. 1) Urine is stored in the bladder, not kidneys (kidneys process liquid into urine), so if anything his bladder should have exploded. 2) His bladder or kidneys would not have exploded from holding in urine; all that would have happened would have been that he would just have involuntarily urinated in the car. 3) If Grampa's kidneys did explode, he would die almost immediately from sepsis and internal bleeding, not live long enough to go to the doctor and get X-rays.
- Quotes
Homer Simpson: Two hours? Why'd they build this ghost town so far away?
Lisa Simpson: Because they discovered gold right over there.
Homer Simpson: It's because they're stupid, that's why. That's why everybody does everything.
