One of the best episodes of Season 10

This is not only one of the best episodes of Season 10, but one of the greatest Treehouse of Horror's of all time. It delivers some great jokes, some that are mostly absent from the rest of this season.

This episode is just a breath of fresh air after the last two disappointing efforts (VII, VIII), which were actually quite bad.

But above all else, it's just a clever episode. Quite consistently good. The first two segments were the best, but the third one was still watchable.

If all Season 10 episodes were as good as this, it might just be better than Season 9. If you're a fan of the prime, classic seasons (how couldn't you be?) then I'm quite sure you'll enjoy this episode, if only on a few levels.

    Once Again, Throwing Strikes

All three of these were wonderful. In the first, that criminal goes to the electric chair for producing second hand smoke. Homer gets his hairpiece after he dies, but it begins to invade his brain and cause him to commit murder. His first two victims are Apu and Moe. Part 2 sends Bart and Lisa into an Itchy and Scratchy TV show where they are victimized by the dog and cat. The third is the best when it is revealed that Marge was impregnated by one of those one eyed aliens. The best line in the episode comes when Home answers the door. Don't miss it.

    It was awesome

The first segment called Hell Toupee after Snake Jailbird goes to the electric chair, Homer has a new hair that turns him evil and it's a common reference to Alien, the second segment The Terror Of Tiny Town which is a common reference to The Terror Of Tiny Town and Stay Tuned after Bart and Lisa go into the tv and medt Itchy And Scratchy and the final segment called Starship Poopers which is a common reference to Starship Troopers, Kang and Kodos arrive at the Simpsons house and start telling that Maggie belongs to the aliens. In the ending we can hear someone screaming my eyes my beautiful eyes.

    Remember the movie Pleasantville

Bart & Lisa enter the television a la the movie Pleasantville

    It's a good episode.

    A tier Episode imo

So this episode is another Treehouse of Horror, but what makes it great is the stories. They may not be as good as Treehouse of Horror V, but I think this Treehouse of Horror is better than Treehouse of Horror VI. These stories in this episode are simply great with many classics like Bart and Lisa getting stuck in the TV. Then there's this really creative part where Lisa and Bart fall into a cooking pot in a real life cooking show. Then there's this part where they're in the Jerry Springer Show, which is a show i've never watched and never heard of. This episode is still simply great and definitely my favorite episode of Season 10. Rating: 9.3/10.

    • Trivia
In "Hell Toupee", David X. Cohen used his "Scary Treehouse Name" to promote the then-upcoming Futurama (1999). If you look at the credits as Snake picks a comb, his name pops up as "David "Watch Futurama" Cohen.
    • Goofs
Homer receives a hair transplant from Snake after the latter is executed in the electric chair, which then causes Homer to be possessed with the spirit of Snake. The problem is, before a prisoner is executed in the electric chair, the prisoner's head is shaved, in order to facilitate direct contact between the electrode and the head. (Not that The Simpsons should be expected to be too accurate on matters like this.)

    • Crazy credits
Regis Philbin can be heard shouting, "My eyes! My beautiful eyes!" over the Gracie Films logo at the end.
    • Alternate versions
In the UK version, Moe's line "Hey, 'Pu. You got a breakfast cereal for people with syphilis" is altered to "Hey, 'Pu. You got a breakfast cereal?"
