Earthquake Prison

The group lands on a world where San Francisco is a high-tech prison facility. Two people are paired together electronically and if one person breaks the rules, both are punished or killed. A massive earthquake is expected to take out the entire city, so I'm not sure why anyone would want to work there. The group helped a young woman escape an abusive man played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan from The Walking Dead). He is almost as evil here as in TWD. However, he jumps into the slide with them. They are all trapped inside SF prison. The group puts their trust in the wrong criminal and it almost cost them their lives. This episode was intense but well worth watching.

A crazy rewatch

So I am watching a bunch of older shows this past year. Sliders is one of them.

It is is interesting to see so many actors debut early in their careers here

But they hen this episode opened up, I was. Like " wait, this guy dresses and acts just like Negan from the walking dead".

As the episode continued I was starting to thing the actor who played negan saw this show and modeled the character after him.

Nope, a quick lookup only yo find out it is the actor who played negan when he was much younger. So wild

As for sliders. It atill holds up and is fun to watch.

It has the sci-fi element and a great ensemble cast. It's serious enough but not too much. And Aimee to just have fun.

Trivia
On Prison World, the Loma Prieta earthquake on October 17, 1989 was far more devastating than in Earth Prime. It led to San Francisco being evacuated and the city becoming a maximum security federal penitentiary.

Goofs
Just before the confrontation between Quinn & Sid on the first world, the shadow of the boom mic can be seen against the wall of the room that they are in.
