Trivia
The song "Earth Angel" by The Penguins is played while Jor-El (Tom Welling) and Louise McCallum (Kristin Kreuk) are in the barn. The song was previously played in Superman III (1983) during the Smallville High School reunion dance attended by Clark Kent (Christopher Reeve) and Lana Lang (Annette O'Toole). O'Toole played Martha Kent in Smallville (2001).

Goofs
When Clark touches the mailbox and has a flashback, he tells Pete he was back in the 50's, but the police car is a 1960 Chevy Belair.

The flashback story takes place in 1961, so this is not an anachronism. Clark was referring to the general time period, not the specific year.
