    not bad!

Spooks for Sale has ex intelligence officers running a security company and a ex disgruntled cop, who knew, Keller is doing dirty work. A security guard get killed during the security firms operation. The ex cop learns how dirty the private security firm is. There is double dealing, and back stabbing. Not a bad episode, with did it done it predictable ending. There is a small role with Tom Selleck which is quite memorable. 6 stars. Directed and acted well. There is a few notable b list actors. A few memorable scenes. I like the fire axe part. Michael Douglas made the series. One could see why Streets died after Mike left.. Worth watching, but only once.

    Spooks run wild

****SPOILERS**** While breaking into San Francisco clothing manufacture Burt Dresler's, Charles Cioffi, plant elderly night watchman Mischa Schwartzmann, no relations to Arnold "The Terminatre" Schwarzenegger, died of a heart attack after he was tied up by one of the break-in artists Ralph Cooper,Jack Thibeau. What was stolen from the plant's safe was Dresler's secret black book recording all the sleazy deals he had with the police FBI and Mob to keep his clothing business, which was just a money laundering front, from being raided.

This raised the stakes to murder from a simple breaking and entering charge for spy expert and high priced shyster, who uses he position as a lawyer as a front, Ted Whitlock Played by Fritz "The Cool Cat" Weaver. What's more Whitlock's #1 man ex-cop Archie "Arch" Kimbro, Andy Robinson, suddenly got cold feet in facing a possible murder charge and suddenly wants out of the whole deal.

The ripped of Drelser is now determined to get his black book back and uses his mob connections to try to whack Withlock and his crew that leads to the kidnap murder of Cooper who's dead and broken fingered body was left at fellow clothing manufacture Lenny Young's, Allan Miller, doorsteps. What Lenny, who's on the point of having a nerves breakdown, had to do with all this is that he was picked by Dresler in his suspicions as being behind the break-in at his clothing plant.

With Det. Let. Mike Stone, Karl Malden, and his youthful assistant Inspector Steve Keller played by Michael Douglas, who directed this SOSF episode, on the case it doesn't take that long for the by now pi**ing in his pants Archie Kimbro to brake down and spill the beans on his boss Ted Whitlock. This leads Dresler to join forces with Whitlock to silence Kimbro to keep him from exposing both of them and their illegal activities to the SFPD as well as FBI.

****SPOILERS*** In order to save his neck Kimbro agrees to ware a wire for the police & FBI to get Dresler to admit his crimes as he's to give him back his black book, for a cool $25,000.00, that he stole out of Whitlock's office as he's recording the entire exchange for the police. This not only leads to Dresler, who secretly had his hit-man hidden in his car and ready to pop Kimbro, getting chased down and arrested by Inspector Keller but his fellow or partner in crime Ted Whitlow as well later in the show as he left his office.

P.S Check out a very young and squeaky clean, as well as voiced, Tom Selleck as electronic expert Jimmy Desco who as it turned out used to work for Kimbro in the past when he, Kimbro, was a cop on the San Francisco police force!

At about 17 minutes in a close up view of the bugging device shows a circuit board with a small microphone a coil, a capacitor and a few resistors but no active components like transistors or integrated circuits. Plus there is no battery or a place to put one. This device could not possibly transmit, let alone the 1/4 mile range stated.
