    A thought-provoking movie

This story makes me think about horrible war. A woman's dream is so dreadful because an enemy is going to kill her husband. She ends up suffering from mental illness.

I think the movie is difficult for me to understand minutely but when I had understood the content of the story, I thought this movie is good for children who do not experience war because they can know how fearful the war is and it is not right. In addition, an actress' performance is so wonderful because I think her performance has reality that I could not take my eyes off. Also, I fell miserable because people's personality has been changed by surroundings. This man and wife changed a complete about-face. Finally, this image is almost dusky ant it is easy to understand.

I was surprised by the ending because the movie's ending is different compared with almost all movie endings. I think teenagers do not know about war and the times in those days so they should watch and learn about it. this movie is so nice.

    terror of war

There is a woman whose husband went to war. She watches hallucination while she does house work and sleeps. Suddenly, Japanese army appears in front of her and tries to kill her. She is afraid of and strikes him with tea cup. However, he disappears and she gets hurt her hand. After that, her husband came home and he talks about war with her. She picked up bag and open. There are fingers of Japanese army and she is very surprised. However, he talks about them with philosophy. At last, she cried.

First, I couldn't understand this movie's message. Mr.Alec explain about it, I could understand a little. Probably, I think that she found that he changes after coming home. He talks about war with philosophy. If I were him, I will talk about war with wept tears of regret. I think that War made him changed, so I was scared very much.

This is the story about a war. A woman waits for her husband. He goes to battlefield. She really worries about her husband. She has nightmare again and again. The nightmares are about husband's fighting. Her husband is killed again and again in her dream. One day, her husband comes back to her. She feels easy. However, she look an ear. That is enemy's one. She was surprised. She think he is not former him.

This story is too difficult for me. However I really think about this movie. Why is she does not want to touch by her husband? It is difficult program. They love each other and she waits for him for a long time and meet him? The war is so sad. The war is makes him that he is not former him. The woman may be sick of mental.

Please watch this movie, and think about this movie and war.

    !

I thought this movie described many times foot. The first part of this movie, I was impressive that scene underfoot of girl wearing new shoes and clothes. Her foot like she ware tap dancing the first excitement of the movie. Of course, it was excited me. The next, it was also good scene that underfoot of two girls ware walking along the line with holding hands. Depiction of her foot of the second half and first half was not very opposite. Her feet reflected in the second half of the film were, very dark unlike the first half. In the same way, Compared to the first half and the second half, depiction of their hands of the two girls ware different impressions. Especially, I felt something that nobody knows that scene two girls holding hands when they go home on the end of movie. I thought hearts of children are very difficult. Would her father and mother have been aware of the change of heart of their daughter?

    Not completely burned out yet

"Ember" means "a piece of firewood that is not completely burned out yet". However, this film is not the story of fireplace. It is a story of after World WarⅡ. The leading part of this film is a New Zealand woman waiting for return of her husband from the front. She waits for her husband to come home in intense cold. She has the nightmare in which her husband is tortured by Japanese soldier over and over. After a long time, her husband returns from war. However, although they could meet again, there is a deep rift between the wife and husband because of a certain reason. The film begins with a quiet scene and ends with a quiet scene. There are many small items used in this film impressively. They are from small pieces of a broken cup to big blade of ax and katana. They may be the symbol of violence or the mind of human.
