An exploration of erotomania (de Clerambault's syndrome), a delusional condition in which the afflicted believes that they are loved by a specific person, regardless of whether they have actually met.

The purpose of this real life documentary is to show the viewers that alternative lifestyles exist and are workable. In this case we discuss the practicalities and emotions of Steve & Kris who have been married for over a decade and have 4 children. Steve is gay and Kris has known this since soon after the marriage. We pick up the story during a time of change as Kris and Steve realise their relationship is about to change.

For many years they have kept their relationship together despite opposition from friends and family. Two years ago the couple decided to experiment with an 'open' relationship whereby they would each seek out alternate sexual partners. Kris has been the more promiscuous of the two though Steve has had a steady boyfriend for some time.

During a family holiday on which Steve's partner went along, things took a dramatic turn for the worse. It become apparent that the couple had now reached the end of the road with their marriage. The issue now was how to end fourteen years as simply and pain free as possible.

Filming took some 7 months and was quite in depth. Sadly, some of the intent was lost in final cut as many scenes which showed a balance between the couple were removed leaving the viewer with the impression that one of the couple was a victim.
