    truly intense TV

Dexter is quickly becoming a must-see show. In the first season the writers and producers make sure the main plot is never out of focus, even if they deviate from time to time. By the last three or four episodes it's all just on the Ice Truck Killer - and his "other" personality, Rudy. This is the second to last episode of the first season, and it's mostly concerned with plot, but very strong and compelling ones as Dexter keeps looking for clues about the bloodbath and where he actually came from, and Debra is all excited (at first worried-excited then overjoyed) to hear that Rudy "needs to talk" with her about something and that they may go away for a weekend. But it's really all wrapped around the other plots - the stabbing of the officer, the lieutenant's firing, and the general tenor of unease as to the reemergence of the Ice Truck Killer with his "surprise" drop-off of body parts.

It's mostly based around 'when will it happen', as one knows Rudy will reveal himself finally to Debra, a real horrorshow waiting to happen. But it's the anticipation, and Dexter's own quest for the truth, that makes it so suspenseful and dramatic. It's actually one of the best episodes of the first season (not quite as edge-of-your-seat as the finale, but close, certainly in the last few minutes), and you get a sense of the impending tragedy that will befall at least some of the characters.

A Gripping Finale that Redefines Dexter

Truth Be Told serves as the perfect season finale for Dexter, combining sharp writing, emotional depth, and nail-biting suspense. The episode does an extraordinary job of tying together everything that's been building up throughout the season. Dexter's struggle to reconcile his dark impulses with his new life becomes more complicated than ever. The tension between Dexter and his relationships intensifies, making every moment feel like a turning point. As the episode heads toward its inevitable conclusion, the stakes are raised, and the choices Dexter makes will haunt both him and viewers alike. The final moments of Truth Be Told leave you questioning everything - the perfect setup for what's to come. This episode is a must-watch for any Dexter fan and is a prime example of how the show masterfully blends suspense with emotional complexity.

DEXTER- Micheal C Hall is awesome!

Micheal C Hall is an outstanding actor in his new role as DEXTER. I never miss this series, DEXTER when it comes on SHOWTIME. Hall was just super in 6 Feet Under, but in Dexter, Micheal C Hall has truly captured the personality of Dexter with humor, pathos and skillful acting. Everyone who are cast members on this series, Dexter, is perfect for their roles. When selecting the cast members, in such a talented way, one can only get a fantastic cast of actors, that I do not even think I am watching a series??? This series, Dexter n its entire team of entertainment people n actors are superb, I cannot say enough. The very FACT that I forget that I am watching an episode of Dexter, I am swooped into the world of Micheal C Hall's outstanding performance, I just love him! As Dexter, Micheal C Hall is so lovable, even tho' he has to take the trash out! have u seen Dexter when he shows his humor, and goofs? totally super n hilarious! What an actor Micheal C Hall is. I hope he will win the Golden Globe award!!!!!!!!!! I hope DEXTER will go on as long as 6 Feet Under! I am a huge fan of Micheal C Hall!
