Hyperbolics by the bucket load

The Time loop is stretching, and The Marshall is getting closer, the Shadow is using K-9 against the Doctor, in order to spy. Astra lures Romana to the Shadow, but have his tricks worked on the Doctor? The Doctor is in the Shadow's Lair when he meets an old fried, fellow Timelord and class of 92 friend Drax, he refers to the Doctor as Theta Sigma. A name we'd hear in The Happiness Patrol. We discover Drax was responsible for Mentalis. The Shadow tortures Romana in order to coerce the Doctor into handing over Romana, we learn what the sixth segment is. Drax has rigged up a gun like device, and gets to shoot either the Doctor, or his captor.......

Drax is a fun character and has added something to the story, I love how he obtained his accent from Brixton. The Hyperbolics line is great.

Lalla Ward has been pretty good, I can see why they decided to keep her on.

Interesting turning K-9 against the Doctor for a change.

It's been an improved episode, better then the last few parts, am now looking forward to its conclusion.

Friends Reunited...

It's always a pleasure meeting up with old friends, in unforeseen circumstance, it can pay dividends, here's Drax the lost Time Lord, must have been rather bored, all this time on his own feeling lost and ignored.

Trivia
This part of this story is the only place within the series original run and the new (2005) run to feature the Doctor's real name. It was, previous to this, deemed as unpronounceable by humans, and, after this, never brought up again. In the new series, the Doctor does remember his name, but chooses not to give it as a memento of the dead Time Lord race, but, in this story, The Doctor runs into an old school chum who reveals his name to be Theta Sigma. However, in "The Happiness Patrol", this is said to be a college nickname.
