Lovely Lightning

Something happened in The Standing Stones that left dead bodies behind of all the young people. The Planet People see this as prove that they have been transported to another planet.

Quatermass would later learn that this has happened in other places such as Brazil.

Quatermass and the Kapp's rescue one injured girl Isabel from the rampaging Planet People. They seem to be led by someone called Kickalong who does not believe in non violence, he has a gun.

At least Quatermass now has a mystery to solve. What caused the young people to die all around the world. Now it feels like Quatermass.

However the violence does look congruous with Kickalong planning to murder a farmer. Some force is turning young people to violence.

It still looks hokey and I think there is something about it that is overlong, this needs to be tighter with its pace. No wonder a cut down movie version was released.

I was struck why does Joe Kapp drive around his van with the doors open. When his van is shot at from the back, how did his windscreen smash?

Goofs
The Jewish candles she gets out are a set of Hanukkah menorah candle holders, only used at Hanukkah. They are 9 branch candle holders. The usual menorah is 7 branch. If however she is celebrating Shabat then she should have only a pair of Shabat candlesticks with candles over which she says a blessing. The Hannukah is very much out of place here.
