I admit that this isn't the highest quality production, but in a way similar to Fireproof, the work accomplished for the money spent is amazing. Highly recommend that you see the additional features on the DVD to better understand just how grass-roots this effort was.
This film shows young people seriously facing the big moral questions of our times, and shows them willing to think it through with more than just an Mtv (if it feels good do it) mentality.
The prevailing wind of human nature doesn't lead us toward goodness... this film definitely gives strength to those who want to stand against the prevailing winds.

Content was spot on.
The only thing I could shake a finger at was technical. A few pregnant pauses. Sound was low for the speech in a few instances. Of course, I compare to the multi-million dollar budgets...
Speaking of that, I'm buying three DVDs. One for us and one for each of our children (for our grandchildren, actually).
As a conservative parent, this is perfect for the 10yr old and up. The stakes are high and the temptations are even higher. But the principled person sees the prize does not compare to the moment.
As a US natural born citizen, I hold it self-evident that all men are created equal. Is life to be lived firstly for ourselves? If it were, shouldn't the founding fathers have created a government that feeds their personal interests above the interest of "the people?"

For a micro-budget movie, this movie will get you thinking, and surpasses most others in quality, though the low budget does show. The story does indeed hold up, and it presents some powerful arguments - especially knowing it's based on a real moot court case by the sponsoring college. This is definitely worth a watch and it will certainly get people talking together afterward!
Courtroom dramas have historically held up as dramatic vehicles, and does so here. Camera moves are too limited, due I'm sure to the budget constraints preventing a dolly or steady-cam. But the heart that comes through this picture makes it well worth watching.
And could it be more timely, even after the election? Perhaps it is more so.

CWM was a heartwarming pic featuring impassioned acting by the young main cast. The romance was quite cute and the social issue discussion worthwhile and poignant. This movie definitely surpassed the standard low budget expectations!

I happened across this movie on TBN one night when it first came out. I was captivated and intrigued. I was captivated because of the love story embedded in the movie and by the conflicts posed by the characters. This movie debated and gave much thought to the pros and cons of abortion and parental rights. I was interested in hearing the arguments of both sides and listened intently. The arguments presented were not complicated but were based on common sense and truth. It is a film full of value for young minds as well as adult minds. The arguments presented can set the foundation for other controversial issues we face personally and as a nation. Highly recommend this movie to everyone for a full discussion on the controversial issues.
