Great season premiere

A good number of internet issues packed into one. I didn't get how it resembles South Park style like many people saying.

Normal episode. Nothing very special. As premiere of season it could be much better I think.

Good episode.

This ep was pretty good. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I'm assuming they are mostly from all the people that enjoy the social media obsession culture of which the writers are making fun of? Lol.

To quote Bart in this episode: "This feels kind of lame"

What an insufferable beginning to the episode, and it didn't get any better.

I hate anybody that uses the word "hipster" unironically. What an insufferable character, written by a writer who has no idea what they're doing. The amount of annoying cultural references just made me angry. Simpsons episodes before modern technology was a billion times better, because it didn't rely on devices and current events for humour.

The plot was about a really boring subject matter, and the episode was littered with unfunny jokes.

I wasn't expecting it to be good, so season 31 has a predictably terrible start.

A very good premiere.

Today's episode was fantastic. So full of good references of social media and the Lisa story itself was hilarious as well. In other words, season 31 kicked off to a very good start. A must see to fans.

The Worst Episode Alongside Modern Christmas Episodes

One of the biggest flaws of "The Winter of Our Monetized Content" is its exaggerated portrayal of the ease of becoming an overnight sensation and millionaire on YouTube. It's frustrating to see these modern-day technologies and trends reduced to such simplistic and unrealistic portrayals, which only serve to further disconnect the show from its audience. It's important for the writers to remember that while it's okay to satirize contemporary issues, doing so in a way that feels disingenuous or shallow is a surefire way to lose viewers.

Furthermore, the attempts at humor in "The Winter of Our Monetized Content" are equally as painful as the plot. The jokes rely heavily on tired and clichéd pop culture references that fail to land with any impact. It feels as if the writers were trying too hard to be funny, and instead, the result is an episode that feels like it's trying to make its audience suffer through each joke. The visual gags are painfully unfunny, making the overall viewing experience nothing short of excruciating.

Overall, "The Winter of Our Monetized Content" is a lousy entry in the series, ranking alongside some of the weaker modern Christmas episodes. While it may be worth a watch for die-hard fans of the show, others may find it a distressing and painful experience.

One of the worst episodes to date

I think the show makers have lost their way. The comedy and interactions seem forced and the Memes are too late to be funny. The Simpsons should stop trying to be South Park.

Looks like South Park

Funny as never before, full of memes and sometimes repeated, but in the end we still feel that the series should continue for many other seasons.

Lousy

This episode was just terrible.

The plot was really boring and the episode itself had so many flaws and cringe worthy jokes.

The constant efforts to be "cool" and "connect" to this generation came off so desperate.

For instance Bart and Homer flossing was so cringe... Just why?

Instead of focusing on creating a genuine and relatable plot, it felt like the writers were simply trying to be "hip" with this generation and appeal to a younger audience without actually trying to write a meaningful and good story.

A random goofball trying to make Homer and Bart "go viral" is not meaningful.

What a lousy start to season 31.
