Words can't describe how much I love this show, cobra Kai is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This is my personal favourite episode of season 3, probably the strongest season to date. I can't wait for season 4.

Wow.
Series 3 is great so far. Can't wait for the next series.
This episode will make you emotional if you are a fan. The series will do that the moment you see footage from all 3 movies.

The title says it all. If you grew up in the 80s, if you are at least a little into Martial Arts and if you adore the old Karate Kid movies, then you will love the specific episode. Amazing. Just amazing. Season 3 so far is the best of all seasons...

This was as other reviews have stated, a "touching" episode. Everything was spot on. The directing, writing, acting, and the conception of the story arch. Everything came together so well in this one. I wonder if Japan got used as a shooting location. Probably not. Anyway I expect to see this episode up for an Emmy next Emmy season. Good job to the director who I don't know other than through the two Cobra Kai episodes he directed @StevenKTsuchida

I love the fact that it has clearly the old charm. It nearly became a teenage series but fortunately they stopped it. We love watching the main characters of the show , remain the ones that we loved.
It is very good that they added more characters from the movies. When i watch "Daniel" fight, i become a child again , watching "Karate kid" . Thank you.
This episode , i think it is the best so far.

This episode's careful weaving of flashbacks and important nods to the original movies was practically flawless. While the conflict of the two teen groups is far from being resolved, it gave us some hope that the wisdom from revisiting past conflicts may find a way to help repair the current ones.

As if this series doesn't have enough awesome 80s vibes, they had to bring in a legend. Great storyline and decent acting.

I think it was great until Youtube was producing it.
Once Netflix took over, The storywriters have been provided infinite budget and asked to milk nostalgia .
They've milked the nostalgia cow so much that now it's bleeding :(
Very immature acting performances esp by the Asian cast... the storyline is as mature as Scooby doo :(
Ill watch till The end because of the *sunk cost* and an expectation that it will become better.

While the last episode of the season is the highest rated (and it's done very well), this episode is peak cobra Kai fro season 3. Every series regular character is on their own unique journey in the episode, which provides great character depth. The reintroduction of Chozen was excellent and his development was done very well, and he had great chemistry with Daniel. The Johnny and Miguel dynamic this episode is both hilarious and heartwarming. And two main fights are very well choreographed and scored. This episode was done about as good as you can get for this show.

Us long time Cobra Kai and Karate Kid fans knew we'd seen something special when we'd watched this episode for the first time. It's got a little bit of everything that makes this show so amazing. A nostalgic and historical journey through the gorgeous setting of Okinawa, some epic fights in the jail fight and the arcade fight, and of course some heartfelt moments between our favourite duo. Some of the best character moments of the entire show lie in this episode with Daniel's reckoning with Chozen. We really see how he's developed from the time we last saw him as the menacing antagonist of Karate Kid 2.
