Tough viewing but brilliantly made and acted

Waking the dead, has historically been one of my all time favourite shows, some episodes, due to subject matter can be quite difficult to watch, this is on that list. Not graphic, nor violent, but deals with a tough subject. Boyd is starting to change as a character, you can see him becoming more aggressive and short tempered. A complex plot unravels, Jonno (Creed Miles) is a cool and tortured character seeking justice. Ian Hogg (whom I have loved since playing Josiah in Dr Who's Ghostlight) here is a despicable character and plays the part very well. Navin Chowdhry brilliantly plays interesting character Rainman, Saskia Reeves, who I find a drastically underused actress is fantastic as the spiky Doctor Poole, and engages in some excellent scenes with Trevor Eve. A very sad episode to watch with a plot that is fairly easy to follow, some episodes at this time were particularly complex. Fantastically well made, but a tough watch.
