Rabbit Fall

The show started out looking like a well done low budget Canadian series that was basically corner gas meets X-Files.

It was in the final episode of season one where it began to unravel. Couldn't take the plot seriously and literally skipped to the last episode of second season.

Glad I spoiled it so that I didn't waste more time watching all of season two.

I really wanted to like this show the main actress is great and for a low budget it had really good camera work and editing.

No one should be proud of this that made it unless this was their freshman project and film school in which case they've figured out the basics but need to get better.

What makes it worse and this is important:

It ends on a cliffhanger and no season 3 will ever happen.

I want my zero dollars back.

The premise sounded intriguing so I gave it a shot. Holy cow!! It's awful from the start. Worst acting I've seen on a scripted show. I tried to give it a chance but after 3 episodes over the course of a week I couldn't do it anymore. Canada has produced some phenomenal actors but NONE of them appear in this show. It almost feels like a homemade project among friends. So bad. Save your time. Don't watch.

14 episodes and my god, what the F was the point? It started out intriguing, then just floundered for the next 10 episodes.

No congruence between storylines, nothing really resolved. And the ending? WTF? The characters were flat and uninteresting, they simply disappeared characters and never mentioned them again. And the overarching story- why was she "back"- they never really dive into her past and history, only alluded to it- but why was her mother's gravestone pristine like it had been engraved and installed yesterday, rather than 30 years prior- no actual mystery there, just bad production choices.

And the girl from the past? And the chief just left? And bob blackmailed him for the promotion? But why, he was supposed to be on Tara's side. Dumb dumb dumb. And what about the weetigo? Pointless waste of time. Do not watch this garbage.

The acting and casting were perfect. The storyline is a good mix of cop show and local spiritualism. After I saw most of the episodes, I looked it up here, and I was surprised that some viewers didn't like this award winning series. I'm not Canadian, but the story speaks for itself without over explaining. The photography was gorgeous.

I can't say I didn't give the series a chance, I kept waiting for something that never came. I'm Native and there was unusual spiritual scenarios I found interesting. It felt empty and incomplete all the way through. I think it would entertain a Junior High level audience. The end was the final let down, I felt really irritated with myself for wasting time watching it.
