The idea of the movie looks good, but the script is structured very abruptly. dialogues the plot is very twitchy

At some points the music just cuts off. It was bit bad.

It's a political anti-hydraulic fracturing mess. Whoever wrote this was awful and did absolutely no research into the process of extracting gold or where it can be found. The music is bad enough it sounds like I made it and that's horrible. The lines are so bad and if it wasn't for the decent animation it would be better to watch Dora the Explorer as at least it has facts in it.

La trama es contradictoria y apenas sobre Xico, la calidad de la animación oscila entre decente e embarazosa, es bien obvio que los escritores no entienden que es el fracking porque lo describieron como un antivaxer describe las vacunas.

Y lo más horrible la película parece usar la raza como un símbolo de la moralidad de sus personajes.

Pero me gustó El Tlacuache, él fue fantástico, estuve completamente absorto cada vez el estuvo en la pantalla.

The plot is contradictory and Hardly about Xico, the quality of animation varies between decent and cringeworthy and its very obvious that the writers don't know understand what fracking is because they talk about fracking like an antivaxer talks about vaccines.

Worst of all they use race as shorthand for the morality of the characters.

I did like the possum(el tlacuache), he was great, I was completely absorbed whenever he was on the screen.

Dreadful from start to finish. Hideously boring and childish. Even too childish for a 4 year old. A hideous waste of money and time.

A Mexican animated film. It is about some people from a town who want to knock down a mountain and a girl with her best friend and her dog must save her. Excess of imagination that pleases. Characteristics of Mexican culture, although at times she feels loaded with a doctor, she makes a wonderful journey through culture: Mexican animals, joy. In 2D, although the animation is good, certain gestures and expressions in the characters were left behind. Parsimonious at times. It starts at a good pace and in the middle you feel that it lengthens a lot but the character to whom Alex Lora lends the voice completely saves the film and is the one who takes the comedy part, bringing the film to fruition. Predictable like all of the genre. Ideal for the whole family.

Another kids show shoved with political agendas. you don't frack for gold and are they using explosives or all the evil fracking robots.

Pretty cool animation of Mexican production, although the poster misleads the viewer because I thought it was a computer animation, and it's a simple 2D, cartoon animation.

I wanted to like this so much, but the dialogue and writing is absolutely terrible in English. Maybe it is better is Spanish? But it is truly cringeworthy. The evil people say upfront their evil intentions in plain language, and no one questions it? I know it is a kid's movie, but one of the benefits of a movie like this is kids being able to learn to see through lies. My 5yo kid asked, "if they're telling the people the bad things they want to do why isn't anyone telling them not to?" It's so unrealistic that even a kindergartener doesn't believe it is real.

(Also, there are unnecessary fat jokes. It's the 21st century; could we not?)

The rating is way too low. Yes, the characters are a bit one-sided, and yes, the story sometimes lacks of consistensy, but it is an animated movie made for children/family. And it woks perfectly in that regards. Visually stunning - a little bit similar to my beloved Tomm Moore movies, magical, and there are symbols everywhere. Culturally I guess is quite nice, but it's not my my place to judge from Europe. And it teaches a very important lesson.

A girl, a dog and their best friend set out to save a mountain from a company greedy for gold. But the key is closer to home, with her helper pup, Xico. Very cute and beautful...

I watched it with my goddaughter, it didn't arouse much interest, despite the colorful and charming graphics, the story full of legends and mysticism, something was missing... A delicate and gentle Mexican production, with social criticism of unbridled modernization and lack of respect for native culture, cute, instructive, colorful, with endearing animals, but regular, for not having touched my heart with the depth I expected...

Very simple plot with an intricate albeit inaccurate depiction of what fracking is. Seems like it was basically a full length production of nothing just to make a point about fracking.

Very accurate view of the risks of unsustainable mining and consequences for nature and people and ... fun!

The story and animation are great and original. Voices are perforned by well known mexican actresses and actors

This's something kids will enjoy. It has an easy to follow story with fairly likable (if bland) characters. If you're looking for Spanish-language content, this's for you. The animation's pretty good, the story flows well, and the characters are pretty likable.

I'd say check it out.

Animations is pretty good for the budged. The blend with 2D and 3D didn't work that well. Since the 3D parts were in a different style. I won't be to harsh. Since the movie was animated by a relatively new animation crew. And the budget wasn't the highest. The fantasy character and environment design is stunning. You can clearly see that there was effort in making it as creative and versatile as they could.

The story was interesting, I didn't expect many of the plot turns. Since this is on Netflix regular TV regulations don't apply. The writers were able to write more wild and unpredictable story. Which in return made the movie even better.

The dub is not bad. I recommend for those who can understand Spanish to watch it in Spanish. Since the English dub is only a voice dub. The character mouths were speaking Spanish while you heard English words come out.

To summarize, I recommend this movie. It's a great choice for the whole family. Don't be to critical for it's flaws. I hope you enjoy it and sorry for the bad English grammar
