I don't get why everyone is so harsh on this movie. Yes, it doesn't have incredible depth. Yes, it's somewhat predictable. BUT IT'S FUN TO WATCH.

Not every movie has to be a cinematic masterpiece. Sometimes, you just want a film you can throw on after a stressful day, when you're sick, or just whenever.

This movie is perfect for that!

Perfect for those who enjoy a darker atmosphere but want a film without extreme violence. A "light" storyline that still manages to build some suspense. It's the kind of movie you can watch multiple times and always enjoy without feeling like you're missing something important.

The Roommate is a pretty entertaining suspense fatal attraction thriller. The actors did a good job representing their characters. Sarah and rebecca were good characters, and the actors gave good performances. Also Cam Gigandent is very enjoyable here, he's well acted, good looking, and makes his character very likable. I really liked that the chemistry between all the cast was very evident, there wasn't any scenes where I felt like the casting was wrong or the on screen chemistry wasn't there. I liked the tension in the movie, was the tension perfect?? No. But it sufficed and worked. The violence is not overly bloody or graphic, hence the PG-13 rating. The sexual content isn't overwhelming either, the sexual scenes are present for specific purposes, they are needed and necessary to the plot. Francis Fisher makes an appearance here, granted its a rather short one, but she does well with what little screen time she gets. Overall, this is an enjoyable fatal attraction creepy college aged thriller. No it's not perfect, but it accomplished what it set out to accomplish. 8/10 for The Roommate.

It is one of those movies in which suspense does not let the viewer blink for a while and doesn't let the viewer to sleep cause the thrill won't allow you to do so. Incredible. I liked it.

First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it, but I kinda regret watching it because it was very revealing. Eventually, I decided to watch the movie and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting and mysterious, but it wasn't innovative because there are many movies similar to this one. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The main characters were interesting and kinda well-developed. The filming locations of the movie (Los Angeles) were great and the cinematography was well-done. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was a kinda intense movie (especially, the ending). Regarding the 3rd act, it was probably the best part of the movie, even though it was kinda predictable and the fight scene was great. The killcount of the movie wasn't onscreen and it wasn't bloody, at all. I wouldn't consider it a scary movie, because there weren't any jumpscares and it wasn't really creepy. Overall, "The Roommate" was a nice thriller film, fast-paced, kinda intense and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

This is not usually my kind of movie, but honestly I love coming back to this film on a lazy day. The story is scarily relatable and the acting isn't half bad either. More than worth the time it takes to watch.

Alright! This is definitely not a perfect movie but seriously 4.8 and such bad reviews is not worthed! Guys there are bad movies which are getting 7-8 rating. But they aren't worthed! This movie rather deserves a 7 or 8 rating! The story good (though could be better), the artists are extremely good! , loved everythjng else as well. The end was not at all satisfiying but its OK! I would definitely recommend you to watch this movie. The chicks are cute and they will make you fell in love with them! (not a lesbian though). This is a perfect weekend movie to watch with your friends or family or roommate :) Don't miss it and go watch it right now!

Above average thriller is the usual jealous/demented roommate formula but has its share of minor surprises. I've seen better but I've also seen much, much worse. Approach this from the point of view of suspenseful escapism and you will enjoy it.

This was a good movie but totally ripped off from the movie Single White Female. The only difference being teenagers as opposed to adults. Also a kitten instead of a puppy. The protagonist still was into fashion though.
