Time flies, this six part series has come and gone so quickly, I can't help wondering if this was Chris Chibnall's original idea, when this was planned as an eight part series. We've had five episodes of build up, this final episode had a lot to live up to, and a lot of questions to answer.
First off, it looks amazing, some gorgeous effects here, it does look fantastic. Unfortunately all that glitters is not gold.
I may enjoy this after a few watches, but I felt this was very messy for the most part, almost like it falls over its own shoe laces, there are too many strands, too many things were attempted. Chibnall trying a Stephen Moffat?
The Sontarans, had been rather good I thought, they almost undid that in the shop, that was cringe.
What an absolute disappointment Vinder has been, he promised so much, but really has failed to offer anything, like a few others, he was simply an onlooker. What a shame.
Swarm and Azure turned out to be a massive let down, another shame. Thank goodness for Karvanista, I wasn't a fan initially, but I've been well and truly won over, for my money, the best element by a country mile, I'd love to see him reappear.
Kate ..... Stewart....what about The Lethbridge?
Overall, Flux had been a mixed bag, unfortunately, I think this final episode was a let down, 5/10.

From the start of Jodie's tenure, she has been consistently letdown by Chibnall's poor writing.
Unfortunately, this series followed that trend...
This finale was unsatisfying, answered no questions and tied up no loose ends. With terrible pacing, poor SFX and shoddy editing, it will be of no surprise that viewing figures have been dropping by the millions.
I was excited to see Kate return! Yet, we were letdown once again with her playing such a minor role.
The sooner Chibs goes, the better.
Jodie deserved better, fans deserved better.

Ah yes, I had low hopes for this ending and it did not disappoint.
The flux? Nah that's gone. The ravagers? Nah they're gone. They're motivation? Who cares right? The grand serpent? Gone. His motivation and end game? Who cares? The universe? Restored? Who the hell knows? Chibnall sure doesn't. The vinder and bel storyline? Just as pointlessly shoved in as we all expected.
The Daleks we just saw deleted from existence, back for the new years special.
Can't wait for none of this to be explained.
In conclusion, I feel so sorry for RTD for having to come back to this mess and fix it.

What sort of idiot rates an episode down before it's aired? Seriously, this shouldn't be allowed. It's moronic. At least watch it before deciding you hate it.

But yes it is just a try. Not actually good thing.
Too many characters with too many storylines. And a lot of them, even though explained, not make sense.
And as much of a lore explanation we got, a lot of it just doesn't make sense.
So what were those multicoloured bald aliens?
A foes of the past Doctor? Why do we need the story of Grand Serpent?
Or the point of Daleks/Cybermen/Sondarans.... So yes, it was a good try, and maybe in a hand of better showrunners and screen writers, it would be better.
But for now it is enjoyable but not great.

I will be the first to admit that I did not enjoy Jodie Whittaker's first season of Doctor Who - through poor writing to stale acting, it was a tough watch. S12 provided some more hope, with standout episodes such as Spyfall being overshadowed by the painstakingly rushed "The Timeless Child".
S13, or Flux, has been an absolute return to form for Doctor Who, giving me the same joy and excitement I had when I was 6 years old, watching David Tennant run frantically across the universe with Martha Jones and Donna Noble. The threads that have been sewn over the past 2 seasons came into fruition and the performances from Whittaker, Gill, Bishop, Anderson and McNall all brought something new and exciting to the show.
Finally, I feel we know WHO Jodie's Doctor is and that excites me, setting up a heartbreaking exit in the coming year! I was worried the episode would rush it's story, and fail to stick any landing of any plot that it created - it did not. What we received was a comprehensive, complete story from start to finish.
Mr Chibnall, over a year ago, through the finale of S12, I was angered at your contribution to the story of Doctor Who. I apologise. You have smashed this season out of the park, to the point, I am happy with the Timeless Child arc! (I KNOW!!). I'm looking forward to the New Year's special and Jodie's final few episodes in charge of the Tardis!

Timeless Child is rubbish, the season till now has been decent but this episode was meh at best. Bring on RTD. Chibs tried and failed. Appealed to minority groups without caring for story and basic elements of what doctor who is actually meant to be.

"Don't rate the episode before it airs!!!" say all the people giving it a 10/10 before it finished... yeah... do you know the word hypocrite?
Well, I watched it before reviewing and... it was terrible. Overstuffed, things happening with no set up, almost none of the questions Chibnall wrecked the lore to raise have been answered... and the episode was just boring as heck. Maybe the pretty colours and action will keep the kids entertained but this episode is good for nothing else.

I've loved Dr Who since I was a kid (I'm 53) and have always accepted there are going to be awesome stories and ones that are going to plumb the depths.
However, I've never had to endure the issue of a whole series being just ... terrible.
I could go on at length but what the point?
The whole story of the flux is nonsensical, it has no logic, no flow, no coherence.
What was the point of Swarm & Azure? Big build up and then wiped out in a second with no reason.
What was the point of Vincent & Bel? They ran around a lot but had little impact on the story.
What was the point of Grand Serpent? Great character, but what effect did he have?
In all Chris Chibnall collected a huge number of elements, threw them in a big pot and got ... a mess.
I've put up with a lot of rubbish in the Whoniverse and thought the episode "Kill the Moon" ( Capalidi) was the absolute worst but then came The Flux.
You thought Moffat was getting bad but Chibnall tops it all.
Russell T Davis cannot come back too soon.
I feel sorry that Jodie has to go out on this pile of ... of ...
This feels like we have hit the quality of script that Sylvestor McCoy had to endure before Dr Who was cancelled in 1987.
Please can it stop? I can't bear to see my favourite SciFi series of ALL time go down the drain in this manner.

So The Flux is over. Finally! Now please let it be over with Chibnall as well. Horrible writing, horrible finale. The only good episode in this series was the one with Angels. But why do they bring us less episodes in series 13 if only one can be good? So dissapointed again. Three more episodes with Chibnall and then this nigthmare finally ends! I am so sorry for Jodie. She has so much potential but not with this writting... Oh dear...

Had there been any executive control over Chibnall and his team this piece of trash series 13 would have been abandoned. Even without the current international crisis Chris Chibnall had shown himself to be a terrible showrunner who couldn't produce a decent run of episodes. The current difficulties led him to make this disaster. Nothing is resolved and his vandalism of a once loved show is almost complete. The episode is nonsense from beginning to end.

This episode was a convoluted mess. It tried to do too much and ended up being boring somehow with so much going on. I didn't mind a couple of the episodes this season, but as a whole the entire Flux saga was a mess with pacing issues as per Chibnalls other seasons.
I didn't mind Jodie, but the trash scripts she had ruined her doctor unfortunately.
I would be done with Doctor Who if it wasn't for RTD coming back. I have high hopes but the bar is set super low and so it can't be worse than the Chibnall era.

For what it was, I enjoyed it. Fun, over the top, and offered something new. The series as a whole had some really fun ideas. This episode felt like it had too much to do, pacing was patchy and perhaps the original intent was a slightly longer series?
Here's the thing... Doctor Who can't just endlessly repeat your favourite stuff from the RTD era. Chibnall tried something new; some of it worked, some of it didn't, but I appreciate the attempt to offer up something fresh.
Not perfect at all, but the random hate, negative pre-air reviews and general whining from the "fan" base it getting tiresome.

The story has no closure at all. Too many storylines trying to complete, and it's not done well at all. It feels like just a 6 week bait and switch by Chibnall. Very disappointed in the writing and storytelling it's completely void of logic.
