SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom

A Crossover Game That Could've Worked

You know, I do see a lot where the game is going for. But the way it turned out did not turn out as good as I hoped. Nicktoons: Globs of Doom is the crossover game that could've worked, but was just pretty disappointing and is just another crossovers game designers seem they want to get over with. It had the right tools to actually be worth playing with a gameplay concept to play as both heroes and villains, along with upgraded graphics and that it's fun to look for Easter eggs and references from the Nickelodeon cartoon worlds we would enter. But the game did not have enough time to improve its story into something more exciting than the other Nicktoons crossover games. It didn't really get enough cutscenes to give more to the story for each level we would complete like Battle for Volcano Island did. And I'm sorry I have to say this, but the gameplay is the biggest problem. It's as if the game designers didn't have enough time to make new additions as a crossover game. Instead, it's even more basic than the other Nicktoons crossover games. Like, we can't switch to our favorite characters like the other games even when you can play as both the heroes and the villains. It doesn't help either the fact we can't even switch characters for a specific weapon that may be the most useful. If you like the Nicktoons games- Not the ones based on a show, but Nicktoons crossover games, maybe you'll probably enjoy this one. Other than that, I can only say to play this at least once. Since the PS2 era is dead, this means we won't be seeing anymore Nicktoons crossover games any day. I know we technically have gotten crossover games for both Warner Bros and Nickelodeon that have a similar gameplay to Super Smash Bros, but maybe one day we'll get an actual good platform crossover game.
