Good acting, decent direction.
As my headline says, there was indeed a good story in there somewhere, but the execution was kinda blah. The horror elements didn't kick in until the last 15 or so minutes.

This movie is one of the most confusing and badly edited film I've ever tried to watch. The scenes jump from different times and places without any notice, explanation or reason. It could also easily be debated as a American anti...well anything "non-American" as it strives to make viewers believe that all Muslims are machine gun toting terrorists. If it was well made in a sequential manner it still would not have upped it's rating, however even that would have been far from saving this dehumanizing propagandist insult to secular freedom. Most importantly this movie just isn't interesting with it's misplaced gratuitous violence.
I was expecting a "Homeland" style, political drama and action film, but didn't expect the twist towards the latter third of the film. Quite the unexpected turn of events. The cast is robust and talented. Especially enjoyed the brief but deadly-charming Eoin Macken. Kristina Klebe is pretty spot-on as Sara Brown, her steely glare gives you a slight sense that something sinister is coming, just wait for it...
Big fan of Kristina Klebe but what was she doing she apparently did the casting , second unit director, co-producer and acting in this nonsensical pseudo horror mess based on the directors first 'short' "Eyes Of Samir" - perhaps it should have stayed as a 'short'.
Also by the end credit it looks like it was actually finished in 2017 as "Sara's Cell" and only released now for some unknown reason but should have stayed in the vaults as this is not going to make any money at the box office that is for sure!
As other reviewers have already reviewed it I will just sum up - Although the acting is good the film is a mish mash of confused storyline, dreadful editing, poor script, bad effects, not scary...but hey I did like the end credits music from the old 1975 America hit "Sister Golden Hair" but that is about all - don't waste your money on this cinematic dud!

I didn't expect much as I sat down to watch this film, but something got me hooked. A lot of people seem to think it's bad and all over the place, but I disagree. The story is pretty straight told (with a few flashbacks to explain stuff) so i think it's the opposite of all over the place.
Maybe some get confused about characters acting as infiltrators or even playing both sides, but I thought it was pretty obvious who was who and why they acted like they did. The story was building up to the end, but the execution of the end might have been something more. It felt a little bit cut off.
Anyway, even though I expected something like it I didn't see the end coming exactly the way it did.
I give it 5 out of 10 (actually 5,5 since I think it's better than 5 but not as good as 6)
