The concept behind this game's story mode is good, but it changes the MK universe as a whole and has some points in the story mode where characters go completely out of character. The story mode also has a lot of continuity errors such as Reptile already being a Reptile in the first tournament when he is supposed to be human looking. He then devolves over time into his reptilian looking form. Speaking of the ninjas, only some of them have the classic mk1 look at the first tournament while others like Sub-Zero and Scorpion have detailed outfits. Overall there is a lot of inconsistencies with this title's story and design, but a new spin with this generation of consoles on Mortal Kombat is refreshing.
With amazing graphics on PS3 and XBOX 360, brutal fatalities, beatiful combos, the characters are amazing, with very cool origins (like kabal), the story is so cool with too much plot twists. This game is perfect, I want a remake.

I have long heard nothing about the genre of fighting, but from the Mortal Kombat were the warmest impressions of childhood, when with friends sticks for several hours. And now, after so much time, I did not think that when you buy this game, but somehow it happened that I went to the store and immediately bought the game. Such instantaneous came when we again began to play it, the developers did not stop us at the usual "scuffle" but added such as Safe Mode "story mode" and "Tower test" that does not just quite overcome to management and the dynamics of others. I would recommend this game to all who are familiar with quite series of games and who wants to feel a spirit of resistance and Do not weak fun with friends from the heart! But as has been said in this game can be played alone, and it's quite boring when the game show scenes like that in actual fact should have been in the movie ... OK, not about the movie now talking about. In the stories we are all soldiers for play (Elsi I remember correctly) for 3 fights, and all these battles are linked chain of logic that unravel in the course of passage ... So I can say from myself that this game is not a waste of money and time into it you can have fun after the passage of different Pocket DLC.
Less than twenty years ago I played my first Mortal Kombat game,Mortal Kombat II and it was awesome, great characters, great moves, everything was great. After that Mortal Kombat 3 arrived with more new characters and it was much faster than previous part.In effect both parts were excellent. But unfortunately since then everything goes wrong, the game is completely changed, game loses speed, almost looks like Tekken.
Finally we have Mortal Kombat 9,a game worthy of the previous parts, everything have returned to the old, characters, speed, playability and enjoyment of what we once had when we played the game, great job.
But I have some remarks on game, some characters look much better in the previous parts than new,for example Liu Kang,he looks like a girl. And many other costumes are desperate but luckily we have another option and retro costumes, but as I said some characters again look desperate. That's all I can blame, generally the game is great, totally retro,I recommend everyone to try it,really great game,I hope the next part will be the same....

This game takes the original formula and expands on it. Really recommendable!! One of the games that made the 7th gen so great!
