Episode 3

The murderer of Melissa Foster could be anyone and luckily for her husband Guy. DCI Foster thinks he is innocent even though someone is elaborately trying to set Guy up.

A remark that Guy made about his wife's love for buying hats but not wearing them is an important clue. Why DCI Carter gave Guy the benefit of the doubt.

In the end the pieces fell together. Blackmail was the order of the day. Some of the final act was rushed and mid 1970s television standards made some of it look cheap.

It was still an enthralling crime series.
