They should stop making action movies like this. Thats for sure.

personally, the only reason why i rented this movie was because stallone was in it. I had little or no regard for Conan the male model, nor Fast & Furious Liu Kang.

The action sequences were kind of 80's. which is probably the only redeeming quality in this movie, as stated by 'greetings from lithuania'. But this movie is NOTHING in the league of 'red heat' or any of sly's other 80's movies. There's somethings quite irritating about this movie; the dialog, the acting, and the story line. I don't mind unrealistic story lines, but the story line of 'bullet to the head' was appalling.

it felt like a bullet to the head to keep on watching. So i stopped at the point where the boat house was bombed.

Retire the Old Fogies.....or lose more millions

OMG.....What audience is this movie made for? My Great-Grandpa?? Watching Sylvester Stalone trying to be exciting is absolutely painful. I actually took my Dad to see it, for his birthday. He apologized to me! It made him feel older to look at a Stalone who's had a few too many plastic surgeries, so now he looks like a nightmare.

We laughed when we were supposed to be shocked, and were shocked when I guessed it was supposed to be funny. Boring, warmed-over plots that have done a zillion times before by much better actors. No wonder this movie is a Bomb....and to watch it through you need a bullet to the head.

Unwatchable

I can't put into words just how bad this film is but let me try. I've been a fan of Sly since forever and I always rated him as more than just an action star. He knows how to put in a good performance, for those in doubt watch Copland. He also knows how to be a bankable movie star with the Rocky and Rambo films. His recent updates to these have been more than enough to satisfy his critics. He went from king of the 1980's with such films as Rambo, Cobra and Lock up to king of the flops in the 1990's with Daylight, Driven and D-tox. This movie is unwatchable. I told one of my friends I could only manage 20mins before switching off and he said well done because he had only managed 15mins.So I can't really review the film, I guess this is more of a review ofSly the man, so here's a tip Sly: Stick to what your good at and bring us more of it. My first review, I had to warn others not to waste their time!

Not even suitable for TV

I'm watching this movie thinking what the heck was I thinking? When will Stallone realize that he is about 3 decades past his prime? Throughout the entire movie he was like death warmed over. His acting was as stiff as his neck. He took this movie as an opportunity to showcase his bulging biceps, varicose veins and saggy boobs.

Not only was the plot nonexistent and the director scrapped the bottom of the barrel by casting Christian Slater, but Stallone was super hard on the eyes. I wonder what he sees when he looks in the mirror. The same thing his mom sees I suppose.

Well the movie was horrible and I could not stomach it. Could not even finish watching it.

Worst on screen chemistry ever

The movie has the worst story line I've seen in a long time, even for a stallone direct to DVD. Stallone needs to realise the 80s are over he ain't on top anymore. He's just a vague memory of what he used to be as an action star, both him and Arnold need to retire for good Sylvester plays a hit-man who gets double crossed and loses he's partner in the process, than sets out for revenge. Along the way he teams up with a Korean cop whom seems to be in love with he's black berry cause it never leaves he's hand, and he always nag about going by the book and playing by he rules. Which seems kind of dumb, cause when you team up with a hit-man, you can pretty much guarantee nothing you do will be admissible in court. Yet he keeps on talking about arresting people, nevermind that he as no jurisdiction where he is in the first place. Sylvester and he's on screen partner has no chemistry what so ever, which make the movie even more unbearable. They lack everything a god buddy movie is supposed to have: chemistry, witty dialogue humour. In short I think this is the worst Walter hill movie ever. Stallone need to ease down on the steroids, they have almost melted he's brain. What kind of a stupid hit-man kills the guy he's working for?

One of the worst movies ever

I made the mistake of watching this piece of garbage on Film4 last night. A severe mistake indeed. Walter Hill as director - that was supposed to be a promising start, but no. Never have I seen such an enormous collection of clichés, coupled with bad direction, worse writing and even more horrific acting. Totally unnatural lines all over the place, with vaguely sketched characters "explaining" the plot to their henchmen or to the "cops" in never ending monologues. Stallone tries to sound cool and hip by delivering faux Mike Hammer lines, but fails epically. He never was a good actor, but here he just looks like a poster boy for bad wigs. Avoid this film like the plague!

poor performance

The story is garbage and the plot was pure boredom. It was very often shot without meaning. I've seen a lot of movies with Sly, but never such a bad one.
